Coinigy Review
Coinigy is a US-based charting and API trading platform enabling users to manage up to 46 exchanges from a single hub. However, the platform lacks clarity, hindering its usability for novice investors/traders.

TABLE OF CONTENTS
Bottom line:
Coinigy is an advanced platform that provides many tools experienced traders can use to boost their profits, find new opportunities, and save time. However, the platform is expensive and doesn't offer much guidance on its features, making it difficult to get to grips with, especially for those without much experience trading or performing analysis. As such, while Coinigy is a valuable tool for professional traders, novices should test out the free trial to see whether it provides enough value to justify its cost.

Pros Explained
- Highly customizable interface. Coinigy offers one of the most customizable trading interfaces on the market, making it perfect for experienced traders looking to streamline their workflow. There are multiple charting options and windows to tailor a unique experience.
- A diverse range of features. In contrast to other platforms which focus on a specific area (e.g., charting or portfolio tracking), Coinigy offers several useful features in a single subscription, making it one of the most versatile options available for serious crypto investors.
- Supports most major exchanges. Coinigy users can integrate with over 40 exchanges which include the majority of the top exchanges by trading volume (and customer base). Therefore, Coinigy is ideal for traders looking to manage several exchange accounts from a central hub.
Cons Explained
- Confusing for beginners. Unfortunately, the depth of the features offered by Coinigy isn’t explained clearly, making it difficult for a beginner to access the platform's full functionality.
- Subscription is quite expensive. Compared to other options, Coinigy is quite expensive. And with many customers unlikely to use every feature offered by the platform, it's worth considering whether the tools an individual will use justify a subscription's cost.

Coinigy Top Features Reviewed
Portfolio Tracking
One of the main draws to Coinigy is its crypto portfolio tracking software. Users can link exchange accounts to the platform, and Coinigy will automatically pull their holdings, displaying them on a hub in the ‘Portfolio' section. Coinigy's tracking feature could be a lifesaver for investors or traders with assets spread across several cryptocurrency exchanges.
Rather than manually logging into multiple trading accounts, customers can see how all their holdings perform directly on Coinigy, enabling them to dedicate more time to finding new opportunities. There are downsides to managing multiple exchanges such as providing API access for each exchange. However, the advantages vastly outweigh this negative, and serious crypto traders will find this feature highly useful.
Custom Charting Interface
While the default charting capabilities are quite powerful, Coinigy also provides a ‘Board,' which can be customized with ‘Panels' containing a range of information, including price trends, market depth, and notes.
The Board interface is fully modular, meaning traders can ensure it displays only relevant information, freeing it from distractions. Furthermore, as its entirely customizable, traders can add multiple charts to make performing detailed analyses and spotting new prospects easier.
As the charts are provided by TradingView, users can perform detailed analyses using several drawing tools and over 50 technical indicators. Additionally, users can add an order book to the interface, making it possible to quickly place a trade after identifying an opportunity.
As users can select the size of a panel as well as the exchange and market it draws data from, the interface is perfect for knowledgeable traders building a specific strategy. However, its complex nature and lack of documentation mean beginners could struggle to gain much value from the feature.
Price Alerts
While researching for our Coinigy review, we noticed the platform enables users to easily create price alerts for thousands of assets across tens of exchanges. To create a price alert, the user must choose an asset, input a price, and decide whether to receive the warning when the price goes above or below the stated figure.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to set up SMS alerts. Instead, Coinigy notifies users via email and a sound played on the web platform. While this is suitable for most cases, having the ability to push an alert straight to SMS could be beneficial when trying to take advantage of time-sensitive opportunities.
Arbitrage Trading Matrix
Arbitrage trading involves taking advantage of disparities in an asset's price between different exchanges to earn a profit. Traditionally, finding arbitrage opportunities is time-consuming and requires a lot of research. However, Coinigy has built an ArbMatrix, which automatically compares prices across several exchanges, displaying the data in an easy-to-read format.
Users can select a pair (e.g., BTC/USDT), and the ArbMatrix will pull data from all supported exchanges, displaying any differences in the price in terms of a percentage. Using this information, crypto traders can then buy crypto on one exchange before selling it to another, pocketing the difference in profit.
Crypto Screener
Coingiy provides its premium users with a crypto screener that compiles data from over 8,000 spot, derivatives, and DeFi markets. While the included data isn't enough to find opportunities on its own, users can view statistics like volume, market cap, buy/sell percentage, and 24-hour price change, providing valuable insights into the market. In short, it is a useful feature within the Coinigy application to obtain a quick snapshot of a coin's metrics (without having to go to popular screeners such as Coinmarketcap and CoinGecko.).

Multi-Account Trading
Not all cryptocurrency trading platforms offer the same assets or functionality, meaning certain transactions must be completed on a specific exchange. Traditionally, this can make keeping track of active positions far more time-consuming and confusing.
To combat this issue, Coinigy compiles active and past trades from all connected exchanges into a single platform that can be filtered by exchange, trading pair, order type, or time, making it far more straightforward for users to keep track of their positions.
In addition to making it easier to monitor orders, Coinigy lets users open new positions on linked exchanges without leaving the platform. For experienced traders that operate several exchange accounts, this is a massively valuable tool for streamlining workflow.
Coinigy Account and Verification Requirements
Because the platform doesn't directly handle customer funds or offer trading features, creating a Coinigy account is simple and doesn’t require Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification. Customers only need an email address and password to open an account with the company, making it extremely accessible.
Linking an Exchange to Coinigy
Linking an exchange to Coinigy via API keys is straightforward and can be handled via the ‘Accounts' section of the platform. First, users must select which exchange to add, then input their exchange API and secret key. After doing so, Coingiy will begin to pull data.
Using API keys can be problematic as most exchanges will expire API keys after a certain period of time. Therefore, to continue using Coinigy to manage multiple accounts, investors will need to be comfortable with using and managing API access which could be a deterrent for beginners.
Supported Fiat Currencies and Deposit Methods
Users wishing to join Coinigy have plenty of payment options. Although transactions must be made in USD, customers can pay for their subscription using 130+ fiat currencies via credit/debit card or PayPal. However, as purchases use USD, international customers could have to pay currency conversion fees, so checking costs beforehand is essential.
Since Coinigy is a cryptocurrency trading tool, users can also pay for their subscriptions via Coinbase Commerce using nine cryptocurrencies, including BTC, ETH, USDC, and DOGE.
Supported Cryptocurrencies and Exchanges
It's important to understand that Coinigy isn't a crypto exchange. Instead, users link a cryptocurrency trading platform to Coinigy and trade via an API. This means that orders made through Coinigy will be completed on a connected platform like Binance, Bittrex, or KuCoin.
Coinigy can be linked to an outstanding 46 of the top trading platforms to give users access to 5,023 cryptocurrencies and 20,316 trading pairs. As most portfolio tracking and API trading platforms support only a few exchanges, Coinigy is one of the most versatile options available and does well not to alienate users based on their exchange preferences.
Coinigy Pricing and Fees
There are two different Coinigy plans available. The Pro Trader plan is priced at $21.95 monthly, with discounts available for users that pay for a quarterly, semi-annual, or annual plan at once. An additional monthly plan is available for developers, which offers priority customer support and enterprise API access for $99.99 per month.
Coinigy is slightly more expensive than competitor portfolio tracking tools, like Shrimpy, which is priced at $19 monthly. However, the advanced charting tools, customizable layout, ArbMatrix, and asset screener offered by Coinigy help to justify the increased costs.
Coinigy Plan | Pricing (Per Month) | Linked Exchange Accounts | Extra Features |
---|---|---|---|
Starter | Free | 1 | Advanced Charting, Mobile App, Email Support, Trade via API |
Pro Trader | $21.95 | Unlimited | All Features in Previous Plan, Advanced Order Types, Unlimited Session Length |
API Dev Pro | $99.99 | Unlimited | All Features in Previous Plan, API Access, Priority Support |
Coinigy Ease of Use
Coinigy is designed to simplify managing a diverse portfolio of crypto assets spread across several exchanges. As such, the platform has worked hard to ensure it's intuitive for beginners and experienced traders, with critical areas accessible via the navigation bar on the top of the screen.
Coinigy currently has two versions with slightly different user interfaces, complicating things somewhat. However, charting on Coinigy is intuitive, with it opting to utilize TradingView's charts, meaning the platform boasts excellent live cryptocurrency charting that will feel familiar to experienced traders.
Coinigy can place trades on other exchanges connected via an API key. However, users must open the order form via a small toggle button on the markets section of the site or by adding a panel to the trading board. Unfortunately, this needs to be clarified, as it's currently challenging for new users to access this functionality.
Coinigy is a great tool for cryptocurrency trading thanks to its simple interface, advanced crypto analysis tools, and phenomenal customizability. Although it would be nice to have an explanation of each section when accessing it, the platform is easy to use and will be suitable for advanced and beginner traders looking to streamline their workflow.
Coinigy Mobile App
For traders and investors wishing to use its services via a mobile device, Coinigy has created an app available on Android and iOS devices. Currently, the mobile app boasts an average rating of 3.9 on the App Store based on over 50 reviews.
After logging in or creating an account, the Coinigy mobile app can be navigated easily using the quick link menu at the bottom of the screen. Charting on the app is stellar. Users can view charts provided by TradingView, meaning it's possible to access hundreds of technical indicators for crypto trading and a wide range of drawing tools to perform detailed, on-the-go analysis.
The company offers basic and advanced chart layouts to ensure the mobile Coinigy platform can be used without hassle. That said, the basic design utilizes a line chart and shows bid depth, making it difficult to read accurately and almost as busy as the advanced version.
Although the Coinigy app doesn't support using the ArbMatrix or crypto screener, customers can easily view their portfolios, access advanced charts, and check prices across multiple exchanges.
While the Coinigy mobile app is well-designed and appears to function as intended, its features are limited versus the web platform hindering its performance. However, the Coinigy mobile app remains useful for investors/traders wishing to keep track of their activities via mobile.
Customer Support Team
Coinigy has built a help center for simple queries containing articles on topics ranging from crypto trading basics to understanding the Coinigy interface. Customers with unanswered questions can submit an email ticket to receive tailored support. For our Coinigy review, we tested the support team and received an answer to our inquiry within the hour, which is very impressive given that many platforms have average response times of days. Although, there are mixed reviews of their support service on TrustPilot with an overall rating of 3.9/5 stars which is average.
Security Measures
Coinigy takes the safety of its customers very seriously, with the company implementing several measures designed to protect users' information. Employees are required to use hardware authentication devices when possible, communications are PGP encrypted, and the company never handles customer funds.
Furthermore, Coinigy only stores encrypted API keys with all requests going through its servers rather than client browsers. Additionally, the company recommends all users activate two-factor authentication (2FA) to add extra security to their accounts. These measures are clearly working well, as Coinigy has never been hacked or compromised to date.
