The Conference website described Trump as the event's main headliner. It reads, 

“Donald Trump announced his support for the American Bitcoin industry in May 2024, advocating for financial freedom and the growth of the U.S. Bitcoin industry on the global stage.”

Following the meeting, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to express his vision for Bitcoin in America. He stated that he wants all “remaining Bitcoin to be made in the USA,” emphasizing that this move would contribute to the country's energy dominance. 

Trump's supportive stance on Bitcoin stands in stark contrast to that of his political opponent, Joe Biden.

The current administration under Biden is perceived to have been less receptive to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, instead showing support for a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).

On May 26, Trump promised to secure Bitcoin's future in the US if elected President. He also vowed to protect the right to self-custody for 50 million crypto holders.
